About Rachel
Rachel Taylor graduated from Miami University with a degree in music performance. Along with the usual stress of college life, she experienced performance anxiety and physical challenges related to playing clarinet. Having always preferred the natural route, she started taking yoga classes at the rec center and enrolled in an Alexander Technique class. These both helped her to establish better balance in mind and body, and they planted the seeds for her later studies in functional movement and energy work.
Rachel earned her 200 hour yoga certification in 2018 from You Do Yoga, and completed her 200 hour qigong certification from Holden Qigong in 2021. She teaches primarily yin yoga and Taoist yoga, a practice that combines yoga, qigong, and functional movement exercises. Rachel's intention is to help people move with greater ease in their physical bodies and find a sense of connection to their subtle energy bodies.
When she is not teaching, practicing, or studying, Rachel enjoys hiking, playing with cats, and creating mandalas. She currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her partner Chris.

Testimonials
"Rachel offers a holistic yoga practice to her yogis both in person and zoom. Her research and devotion to yoga is clear with every class. She explains healing properties and physical benefits of poses. The routines, while obviously well planned, don't seem rigid or rehearsed. Amazingly, I have never known her to do the same practice twice, which in my opinion, is the mark of an accomplished yoga teacher. Rachel gently guides her yogis through a meditative and mindful practice, resulting in a feeling of release and regeneration. She is simply amazing."

"Qigong is truly a gift for achieving rest and reset in your life. This energy focused practice using the breath and movements found in nature, rinses tension and stress out of the body. Rachel's warm presence and clear concise instructions make the practice a true joy. Qigong fits well with other mind-body practices and has deepened my personal yoga and tai chi practices. Give qigong a try and enjoy its many great benefits!"
